I’m vaccinated!
On Tuesday afternoon, I went for my second and final vaccine, and It feels so good to know my two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are done and behind me now.
Why did I wait to receive the vaccine? You may want to check out my first article, I Received My First Vaccination HERE.
How Did I Feel After the Second Dose?
Just like last time, the evening of receiving this dose, I was fine.
Yesterday morning, again, was uncomfortable, but actually not as bad as last time!
I had a mild headache and body aches, and after a day of resting, I was starting to feel better before bed. Woke up this morning feeling 100% back to normal again!
Will I Continue to Wear a Mask?
Yes. Why?
Well, first of all, the vaccine is not proven effective until typically two weeks after the second dose. While the vaccine is recommended for people living with multiple sclerosis, such as myself, research is still underway on its full effectiveness.
I see myself continuing to mask up indoors in public places (such as the store) through the end of summer.
Now what?
I have already had the pleasure of going to, and hosting, an outdoor summer BBQ. Looking ahead, I am most looking forward to having more close friends and family over for INDOOR celebrations.
I missed living my “normal” life in 2020, but I truly feel due to taking all of the recommended safety precautions in 2020 and the first half of 2021, I can look forward to a sense of normalcy going forward.
Better days are ahead.
Stay healthy. Stay safe.
